Halfway There!

I am 5 months (20 weeks) along in my pregnancy so that puts us at the halfway mark! Unbelievable! We're so excited. After we find out the gender on June 6 we'll begin some preparations around the house as well as pick out baby b's nursery furniture. We also start our pregnancy and newborn classes through the hospital next month so I think June & July will be busy!

Here is St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center where baby b will be born: www.bonsecours.com/sfmc Why am I not surprised that Blair's favorite part is that this is the only hospital in the Richmond area with room service to the birthing suites!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone!

Richmond Braves Game

Blair & I went to a Richmond Braves vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees game on Sunday afternoon. The day was perfect! Although we did get a bit of a sunburn.... Too bad the Braves lost 4-13.

We also got some new oriental rugs for the house - Spence loves the one in the foyer.

Fun Weekend

My mom and Christina came to visit which made for such a nice weekend. They got to see our new place and help out too. We got through a lot more boxes (downstairs is almost box free!) and also hung drapes in the kitchen, family room, and dining room. Blair was so patient through the whole process. Spence enjoyed following everyone around from room to room.

Saturday was my sister-in-law Lindsay's baby shower in Richmond. It was really nice! The day was beautiful and she had a great turnout. Congrats to Lindsay and Glenn on future little Wiederman and all their new baby items. She only has about 10 weeks left to go but we're all betting she'll go a little early. They're having a baby girl due July 22.

Sunday we had brunch at Justin & Teresa's with the extended family. Blair and I were so fortunate to spend Mother's Day with both of our moms! (And all our siblings too!)

Dr. appointment went well

My doctor appointment this morning went really well! Baby b measured exactly where he/she should be for 17 1/2 weeks. My new doctor, Dr. West, is great! It is 80% certain she will be delivering the baby, only 20% chance that one of the other 4 in the practice would. Anyway, we're very relieved that the appointment went well! My mom (Nonna-to-be) came with me which was enjoyable for both of us and she got to hear her grandbaby's heartbeat through the doppler. Blair and I do plan on finding out the gender of baby b and will do so at our next appointment (June 6).

First weekend in new house

We're making our way through the boxes and getting everything put away. My best friend Andrea was in town Friday night so it was great to see her! She got us hospitality passes and tickets to the Busch Series Race at the Richmond International Raceway. Her company, InterContinental Hotels, sponsored two of the drivers. I'll add a picture of us at the race when I have a moment to scan it in. Thanks for helping us unpack, Andrea!

All moved in!

Wow Monday and Tuesday have been busy! Most everything went smoothly on the Charlottesville move-out day. Thank goodness for professional movers because they took on most of the stress (and heavy lifting). Of course there were a few bumps along the way... I got a flat tire on my way to Richmond. [Thank you Justin and Glenn for fixing me up - I have such great brother-in-laws :) ] We also had some last minute pre-move in issues at the new house which I won't go in to. All is fine now and the bottom line is we are here in Richmond and moved in!! Here is a picture of the new house and also one of the happy homeowners on the front steps. We love our new neighborhood!
